MOM MATTERS
Maternal Mental Health Program

What is the Mom Matters Program?

Mom Matters is a PHP (Partial Hospitalization Program) and IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) that focuses on the unique challenges of mental health struggles and parenthood. The program is designed to support optimal wellness throughout one’s journey into and through motherhood. For many parents (an estimated 15-20% of birthing persons), the transitions and struggles that these stages of life bring create emotional distress and reduction in functioning that negatively impacts the caregiver, even if they seem to be doing well in their care for their child(ren).

We believe that moms deserve the same care and attention that they provide to their loved ones, and that for too long the challenges of motherhood have been normalized and minimized to the detriment of our community’s overall health and wellness. You do not have to struggle alone. We are here to help.

PHP and IOP offer a higher level of care than weekly/biweekly therapy and medication management and is used as both a step-up from these lower levels of care as well as a step-down from higher levels of care, such as inpatient stabilization. Our program provides a variety of evidence-based treatments to support stabilization, growth, and healing including therapy (education, skill building, and process groups), psychiatric medication management (appointments with a provider 1-2x/week), nursing care, and family engagement.
