Biography

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Texas and North Carolina with over seven years of experience in the social work field and three years directly related to the field of enhanced mental health services. My diverse experience has allowed me to provided person-centered treatment to children, adults and families. I have provided years of crisis intervention, de-escalation, and crisis response through the outpatient and intensive outpatient lens. Personal experiences brought me to this field and have made me a firm believer in solution-focused treatment and cognitive behavioral therapy. I have worked with a range of concerns including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, ADHD, LGBTQ issues, post-traumatic stress and suicidal ideation. With providing mental health services to an age from as vast as age 4 through age 75, I have helped various individuals from many different walks of life work towards reaching successful outcomes. My approach to therapy is non-confrontational but I will point out irrational thoughts or responses and challenge individuals to replace them with positive and realistic thoughts. I pride myself on creating a therapeutic space that is nonjudgmental and a stress-free environment where individuals can communicate freely.
