Biography
I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist with full unrestricted medical license. I’ve completed Psychiatry residency from Texas Tech University (Lubbock, TX). In the past I have worked as an assistant professor for UNT (Acclaim/JPS) and a Chief resident (during residency). I have extended experience in Outpatient, Inpatient, Community, Women Mental Health, Geriatric, Addictions and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I have a vast experience treating all kind of mental health illnesses including Anxiety disorder, OCD, Panic disorder, ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia & other Psychotic disorder, Personality Disorders and Substance use Disorder. My approach is to perform a comprehensive and holistic psychiatric evaluation to better understand my patients, their current situations, concerns and issues. After a thorough evaluation I discuss with my patients openly their diagnoses and options of treatment. I try to make them comfortable and open for their treatment decisions. My modalities of treatment include updated Psychopharmacological treatment, different psychotherapy, life style modifications, coaching to help patients achieve their goals and life stability. I do close monitoring for side effects and am flexible for any additional care related need of my patients.
