Biography

As a child that benefited greatly from counseling, I have always been interested in helping others and learning more about the mental health field. Even though I have a long personal history with this field, I did not consider it as a profession until gearing up for college. I wanted to help people, but I also wanted to do something creative and exciting. Little did I know I would find so much room for creativity and joy through practicing counseling. Over the years I have been able to gain experience working with a wide variety of people dealing with an even wider variety of challenges. I started by experience in community mental health where I learned about the importance of community and creativity, as well as group support. I then transitioned to a hospital setting where I gained knowledge and experience in crisis and substance use counseling. I could not be more thrilled to step into private practice and continue using my skills at Connections Wellness Group. I believe that counseling is a deeply personal and individualized experience, and I can’t wait to work with you on your journey. I am passionate about helping people, in whatever way works best for them. My goal is to always create a safe space for people to be authentic as we navigate life together. I take a holistic approach to wellness and would love to explore what wellness looks like to you. I am trained to work with people of all ages, but I especially enjoy working with teens and young adults. Life is messy and hard, but if you are ready to put in the work to strive for progress, so am I. I look forward to meeting you!
