Biography

Lauren’s counseling style reflects her belief that individuals can grow, heal and gain self awareness within a supportive, open
and accepting environment. Lauren works collaboratively with her clients to develop and work toward treatment goals through skill building and expressive activities. Lauren’s counseling philosophy is a holistic form of therapy in which she works with clients to help investigate lifestyle patterns and early experiences. Lauren helps her clients in creating new goals for the future while building skills for long term and short term growth. Lauren tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of the individuals with whom she works. She is experienced in working with adults, adolescents and children working through many different difficulties such as abuse, trauma, PTSD, depression, hyperactivity, anxiety, parenting issues and many others. Lauren utilizes play therapy skills with young
children with the understanding that children best express themselves symbolically through play, and achieve healing in a safe and supportive environment. Lauren also utilizes her training in activity therapy to work with adolescents and adults achieve growth and healing through expressive activities.
