Biography

I have always had a desire to help others, but I never knew in what capacity. This resulted in me changing my major several times once I made it to college. It was proposed to me to try Social Work and from my first class I knew this career would be for me. I have had the opportunity to work as an ER Social worker, addiction therapist, and gain experience through interns as a family court Social Worker and Juvenile Probation Officer. The profession of Social Work has allowed me to assist others in a multitude of ways and as my current role as Program Therapist, it allows me to use my skills from across a wide variety of disciplines to help others in their journey. Mental health has gained a lot of traction in the recent years and it brings me joy to see it getting the awareness it has always deserved.
