Biography: Christopher Bennett has over 30 years of experience working in the mental health and education fields. Mr. Bennett has served as director of education for both the Ascend Corporation from 2005-2011 and Universal Health Services from 2011-2017. He has consulted for multiple hospitals in Texas, Oklahoma, Arizona, Colorado and Washington. Previous positions include director of adolescent outpatient services, teacher in Denton ISD, department head for Excel Academy in Ft. Worth, vice principal for Summit High School in Ft. Worth, principal of Legends Academy and director of habilitation with Denton County MHMR.

In 2014, Mr. Bennett partnered with Denton ISD to launch a mentoring program assisting students discharging from University Behavioral Health outpatient care. Approximately 45 students have utilized this free service which facilitates a successful transition back to the traditional school environment. Since its inception, 100% of the juniors and seniors in the program have gone on to graduate from DISD schools. Mr. Bennett holds a Bachelor of Arts in history with certification in secondary education from the University of North Texas.
