Biography

In my misguided youth, I thought that I wanted to become an attorney, specifically a defense attorney. I rapidly came to the conclusion that the field of law did not suit me. However, I still wanted to help people. Medicine was a natural migration as you can help people in many ways. I ended up training in a combined Internal Medicine-Psychiatry program as I wanted to take care of the whole patient. I am board certified in both Internal Medicine and Psychiatry, and more recently in Addiction Medicine. I believe my foundational knowledge in Internal Medicine along with my practice in Psychiatry have led to my ability to collaborate with a variety of health care providers to give the highest level of care of our patients, particularly in Interprofessional settings. I am very pleased to be a part of the Connections Wellness Group!

• I have been married for more than 30 years to my college sweetheart
• I have two adult children, one of whom is an assistant District Attorney, and the other is a physicist
• I have four wonderful fur babies, all rescue dogs
