Biography

I graduated with a bachelor’s in Psychology in 2000 and began to work in the Criminal Justice field. First, as a 911 dispatcher for 10 years and then as a Parole Officer and Supervisor for 15 years. In 2015, I decided I wanted to obtain my master’s degree in Professional Counseling. In 2019 I graduated, moved back to my hometown and was unable to find a counseling facility that was open past “normal” business hours of 8-5. I finally decided, after 15 years, to quit my Criminal Justice career and begin counseling full time. I have counseled in group and individual settings and have been a part of meditation therapy, art therapy, and trauma groups. What brought me into the field of Counseling is wanting to help others. Sometimes, we just need someone to hear us. That is what I am here to do, listen. As a therapist, I can’t “solve” the problem, but I am here to help those who want to take the steps they need to find their answers. I love to help client’s reach their long- and short-term goals.

  • I am an active Christian and love to sing.
  • I have fur babies only.
  • I love the mountains!
