Biography
My personal motto as a social worker is “helping people to help themselves.” I have experience working with clients aged 0-25 and 40-55, with an array of diagnosis including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, bipolar, and conduct disorder. In my diverse experience, one thing that remained constant in ensuring success in treatment is effort. Effort does not equate to perfection. Effort is merely the beginning of awakening a new journey. Therapy is about finding comfort in discomfort as it is filled with vulnerability, humility, and bravery from all parties involved – including the therapist. In working together and reciprocating effort, we both learn, grow, and achieve success together.
- I played 4 years of college basketball and won 2 championships.
- I picked up a hobby of learning to cook new foods, and my current obsession is sushi.
- I am very competitive, and I love to host and attend game nights.
