Biography

I believe change happens through honesty, openness, and willingness. I love to work with clients who have these “ingredients for change” so we can work together to face the giants in their life and to find healing and wholeness. I am passionate about working with young adults, adults and couples who are experiencing difficulty in their relationships or marriage, regulating emotions, setting boundaries, communicating their wants/needs, adjusting to life stressors such as transitions or losses, self-worth & identity, spiritual issues, women’s issues, and managing symptoms related to depression, anxiety, or trauma.

I hope to help clients gain insight, process life situations, implement their values, use self-compassion, as well as provide them with other tools that they can take and apply to every day life. I do this using multiple modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Gottman Method for couples counseling or premarital counseling.

I have experience in private practice and community mental health settings providing individual and couples counseling, as well as experience in hospital settings providing group therapy and psychoeducation to clients who are inpatient or in partial hospitalization/intensive outpatient programs.
