The book includes information on focus areas, coping skills, mindfulness tips, relatable stories, follow-up resources and coaching-style questions designed to help readers learn more about themselves and develop a clearer path forward.
“People have more answers within themselves than they realize, but they need to be in a safe and secure place to figure out a plan to get on track,” said Dr. Atkisson. “I don’t want people to be held back by their self-limiting beliefs; I want to empower them to understand they are worth the time and effort it takes to rise over their self-imposed roadblock and invest in themselves.”
As both a board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist and a professional certified coach, Dr. Atkisson pulled from multiple lenses to write this book. With more than 30 years of experience working with adolescents, medical students, teachers, business professionals and more, she developed this simplistic, practical guide to help others create and enact their plans for the
future.
encourages readers to accept where they are and commit to a change to get better faster.
