Reset and Realign Your Student’s Mental Health

CWG Summer Session

School’s out for summer! Time to ditch the textbooks and dive into a season of endless possibilities. But while summer is for fun and relaxation, it’s also the perfect time to help your child or teen feel mentally ready to tackle another school year.

If your child felt like they couldn’t wait for school to end—whether it was due to stress and anxiety, ADHD, depression, social troubles or other serious mental health reasons that made school difficult, we are here to help.

Connections Wellness Group provides daytime mental health programming during the summer to help students between the ages of 10-18 through their challenges and make next school year the best one yet.

Psst…you don’t have to wait until summer is officially here to get help with mental health. Our experts are always ready to guide you.

Your Child Could Benefit if They’ve Experienced:

  • School avoidance
  • Isolation from friends and family
  • Risky behaviors
  • Impulsive decision-making
  • Problematic social relationships
  • Self-harm comments or actions
  • Prolonged academic stress

How We Help

During our summertime session, kids are grouped appropriately by age and are led by licensed therapists through group therapy, individual therapy, and other activities that focus on:

  • Experiential therapies (body movement, art, music)
  • Coping mechanisms
  • Mindfulness exercises
  • Emotional regulation support
  • Social developmental skills
  • Life transition support

Mental Health+Schoolwork

While kids and teens in our summer sessions focus on improving their mind, we can also help them stay on track with academics by providing a space for them to complete virtual summer schoolwork and studying. This is optional and adds two hours to the time they spend with us each day.

And, our Texas locations are Cognia-accredited, which means your child can recover or transfer school credits they earn while in our program (summer credit deadline is June 14).

Ready to Get Started?

Take the first step toward helping your child with their mental health.

Form: Complete our online form, and a member of our team will reach out to you.

Assessment: When we talk to you on the phone, we’ll ask you some questions to assess what the best program is for your child and provide a recommendation.

Attendance: Our summer programming starts June. 3, but enrollment is always open and a child can join at any time. Depending on the recommended program, you can expect your child to spend 3-4 hours a day, 3-5 days a week with us for 2-8 weeks to focus on their mental health. If including time for academics with our teachers is an option you select, you can expect an additional two hours a day that will be spent on schoolwork.

Payment: Our programs are often covered by insurance, and we are in-network with most major commercial insurance companies.

Just because your kid is on summer break, it doesn’t mean you are, and we get that. We also provide virtual program options so your child can still get the mental health they need without leaving home. We also offer transportation services via Uber Health.*

*Restrictions apply based on Uber Health availability and monetary discretion based on the center’s executive director. Average cost is typically up to $24 one way. Transportation consent form required, and rides are limited to under 25 miles.
