Biography:

I have experience during my time in and after graduate school working in private practice for behavioral health with adolescents and adults, in the DFW area. Later, I wanted to branch out to something more exciting and gain more experience regarding trauma and mental health. I spent time working for a non-profit organization in California that focused on high-risk children and adolescents, with a focus on kids in the foster care system. I spent time doing in-home crisis intervention, family therapy, individual therapy, and case management. During this position I solidified my passion for working with adolescents and young children. I witnessed a lot of my adolescent clients struggling with undiagnosed eating disorders due to the primary focus on trauma and crisis. I wanted to move back to the DFW area to be near family, which brought me to Connections where I get to address eating disorders and mental health at the same time! I love working with this population in this type of setting, and I also get paid to eat for 2 hours a day which feels like a win for me!!

• I love hiking, traveling, spending time with my two Australian Shepherds, and cycling!
