Biography

I’ve always had an interest in nutrition, though my passion for a long time was to be a veterinarian. When I decided vet school wasn’t for me, it didn’t take long to decide that dietetics was going to suit me much better!

I was originally going to specialize in diabetes, but kind of stumbled into mental health nutrition after graduating. I’ve loved learning about the link between mental health and nutrition in a variety of settings, including inpatient behavioral health and residential substance use and eating disorders recovery.

• I am a major Spurs fan. Despite the last few seasons!
• I have 2 children, a 10 year old boy and 18 month old girl
• My first career was a veterinary technician. I worked in a variety of settings including general clinics, emergency, specialty clinics, and even a wildlife center
