Cherish obtained her Bachelors and Masters degree in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University. She also completed her dietetic internship with TexasWoman’s University. Cherish has been a Registered Dietitian since 2009. Her first job in the field of nutrition was providing individualized nutrition counseling to pregnant women, postpartum women, and families with children under the WIC program. Cherish has experience teaching group nutrition education classes to adapt sustainable and achievable eating habits. Cherish moved into a management role with the WIC program managing employees and clinics for several years. After having two of her own kids, Cherish left the WIC program and took a position with Early childhood intervention (ECI). During her time with ECI, she provided medical nutrition therapy for children with developmental delays. Cherish’s passion is to support people/families in the hard places of life while offering support, education, and encouragement.
