Biography

I chose nursing because I have always been a caregiver at heart. I soon found my passion in mental health and substance use disorders. Mental health and substance use affects everyone whether personally, familiarly, or through friends and acquaintances. The stigma of these can be a detriment to those who need/seek help, who often feel as if they have nowhere to turn for assistance. I strive to be an advocate for my patients and support their treatment and recovery.

• I will soon welcome my 12th grandchild into the world. (Hope to have a baker’s dozen eventually).
• I enjoy spending my time with family, friends, and fur babies. (Two dogs-Sadie Mae & Zelda and two cats- Smokey Joe and Lincoln).
• I love being around/in water, traveling with family/friends, and quilting and crocheting while at home.
