Biography
Phillip does not believe that anyone is “broken” or too far gone. The essential keys to growth include self-awareness, self-acceptance, and self-expression. Experiencing genuineness toward oneself, expressing emotions effectively, and practicing the discipline of presence are all part of the therapeutic process. Through a hope-filled, safe, and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship, Phillip is ready to stand beside you as you embark on your special journey of self-discovery.
Phillip is passionate about working with clients afflicted with a variety of circumstances, including those who simply feel lost and yearn to “find themselves.” Phillip also has extensive knowledge of Type 1 Diabetes management and the incredible emotional and mental toll it can have on an individual and the family system.
Phillip employs an approach that is fundamentally eclectic in nature, and also personalized to your needs. With a foundation implementing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), he incorporates perspectives and techniques pulled from Gestalt Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness, among others.
Phillip draws inspiration from the experience of walking alongside clients when they feel that they may be at their lowest point. He believes that transformation occurs when you are able to uncover and activate the hope that has always been buried deep within. Creating just noticeable differences becomes the first step toward a fully realized and connected life.
