Biography

Emily Reynolds is a Registered Dietitian specializing in eating disorders. Emily graduated from Texas State University in 2017 with her Bachelors in Dietetics and completed her Masters in Nutritional Science in her home state at the University of Central Oklahoma. Upon graduation, Emily worked in skilled nursing facilities- working with elderly individuals with weight management, renal failure, those receiving nutrition through an NG tube, and those healing from wounds or surgery. While in this position, Emily learned the value of meeting individuals where they are at and using an individualized approach to work towards nutrition goals. In January 2020, Emily joined the team at Eating Recovery Center in Plano. Emily has experience working with clients of all ages and a variety of eating disorder diagnoses including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and ARFID. Emily provides both individual and family nutritional counseling so that she can educate families on how to best support their loved ones in recovery. Emily also enjoyed leading nutrition groups for adolescents and adults while at Eating Recovery Center. Emily tailors her interventions to each client based on what their needs are and uses a collaborative approach. She works closely with other team members such as therapists or psychiatrists to ensure that her clients are getting well rounded, quality care. She uses an “all foods fit” approach and believes there are no “bad” or “good” foods. Emily is passionate about helping clients heal their relationship with food and their bodies; she truly believes everyone can find and is deserving of food freedom.
