Biography

I initially studied with the Intent to do ministry with youth in the church. While in college, I began doing work with teens in an intensive RTC/hospital setting and immediately had a passion for it. Mental Health was an easy switch from ministry. After graduate school and becoming licensed as a clinician, I have integrated myself throughout DFW working in every level of care from first responder/crisis intervention to private therapy to Hospice care. I have enjoyed the benefit of working with hundreds of people from all walks of life ages 5 to 105. I’ve been driven by a passion to help people manage life stressors, regain balance in their life, and find peace with God and others.

• I’m married to my sweetheart Lauren who is an amazing therapist. I have three boys…one who still dresses up in hero costumes, one who is applying to be a hero after just finishing the police academy, and one who travels the globe and lived in Bali as a missionary.
• A fun job I once performed a loooong time ago was getting paid to break into peoples’ homes and cars as a locksmith. More recently, I worked on the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) alongside a group of very dedicated Fort Worth PD officers.
• Cooking and a good gym workout are my therapy. Oh, and I’m from Chicago, but I listen to country music…don’t tell my family.
